[dc]A[/dc]s I mentioned in the notes for my Game of Thrones comic spoof, Game of Hugs, the idea for the gag came from a simple warm-up drawing. I just draw, or write, whatever pops into my head.

It is a fun little exercise, and there are times I get ideas, or drawings, I end up using for a final strip (here is another example).

My sketchbook is filled with pages of quick, random drawings and jokes. Bits of dialogue, or punchlines, float between cursing stick figures (these are common for some reason) or bizarre creatures.

Stephanie caught a glimpse of one of these pages, and her expression reminded me of a doomed protagonist in a H. P. Lovecraft short story.
