It is no secret I am a fan of cats.
So, I went searching for a few cat Halloween costumes on Amazon (why should dogs and unicorns have all the fun?). I was not disappointed. Gender swapping cosplay seems to be all the rage these days, so why not species swapping for your pets on Halloween? Yes, confuse your cat, friends, and district court judges with this Cat-Dog-Cat (or whatever) Costume.
Most cat owners treat their furry pets like royalty, so this Cat Queen Halloween costume is a [pun warning] purrfect choice this Halloween. If you have many cats, have them battle for the crown like in Game of Thrones. Now there’s a version I wanna see: Game of Thrones with cats. Someone get on that. Right [pun warning] meow. Or just make Game of Thrones Halloween costumes for cats. I’m easy.
This Cat Sheep Halloween costume might be better for Easter than Halloween. I think. Or if you are a big fan of March: in like a cat, out like a sheep? That’s the saying, right? Or maybe it is in like an okapi, out like a platypus. If not, it should be.
Speaking of hoof stock, why not dress your cat up as a cow? Better still, teach your cat to say [dumb joke warning] Moo-ow instead of meow. Wait. Maybe this photo is from a not too distant future where someone spliced cat DNA with a cow’s, creating an animal that drinks its own milk.
I never said it was a good idea. Probably just the result of a scientist (mad or otherwise) trying to win a bar bet.
If you wish to decorate your house/lean-to/shanty for a Halloween shindig, here is this Cat Wizard Switch Plate. It would not surprise if my cat was a wizard—assuming magic spells could be cast by sleeping for fourteen hours straight, excessive yawning, and chewing Stephanie’s hair ties.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if that Rainbow song, Stargazer, is really about a cat wizard trying to build the world’s tallest cat tree? In some glorious alternate universe, IT IS.
Daniel J. Hogan wishes they sold platypus wizard switch plates. He would buy a gross. Follow him on Twitter, @danieljhogan.
