[dc]T[/dc]he storms continue. Snow blows, rain pours, ice…ices. When will this unholy Winter end? Spring feels like a distant memory now, like something I will speak of in hushed tones to my nieces and nephews years from now.

[ ] Listen to This: Stan Sakai’s MSU Comics Forum keynote address is TONIGHT, kids. Free, and it starts at 7 PM. I recommend getting their early to grab a good seat. Can’t make the keynote? There is a free livestream of the keynote address. Sakai is one of my favorite comic creators. His Usagi Yojimbo books are amazing.

[ ] Hogan’s Alley: Will you come see me at the MSU Comics Forum Artist Alley tomorrow? 11 AM to 5 PM (Michigan State University, Snyder/Phillips Hall, East Lansing, MI). Free entry and all ages are welcome. I’m selling mini-comics and sketches. If you buy the Chocolate Quest mini-comic, you get to read parts three and four early!

[ ] Rags the Hutt: Rags is a big kitty.

rags the cat

Oh, rags. Photo by me.

That’s two, two, cat scratch pads he is taking up. Rags beats out Nigel’s Jabba the Hutt impression. And yet

cat in a box in a box.

Let’s get meta. Photo by me.

A cat in a box, in a box. Rags did this all on his own. I give up.

[ ] Cook This: Via the magic of Twitter, I learned of the cooking site Budget Bytes from a friend. As a cheap skate who enjoys cooking, this is right up my culinary alley. …OK, that sounds kinda gross.

[ ] Play This: I downloaded the PlayStation 3 game, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons this week. Quite the gear shift after finishing BioShock Infinite, as it is more of a puzzle game. You control the two brothers at the same time, which makes for fun, although challenging, game play. The visuals are great, as is the storytelling. Brothers is a slow-burn game, so don’t expect an action-packed shoot ’em up.

[ ] She Shoots, She Scores: How about that Canada v. USA Women’s hockey game yesterday? What a game. Congratulations to Canada on the win. You couldn’t ask for a better gold medal game. If you didn’t watch any of the women’s games, you missed out on some great hockey. And, yes, you beat your behind I am watching the Men’s hockey Finland vs. Sweden and USA vs. Canada games today.
