This design started as part of a shirt I did for an upcoming family party, and I decided to strip out the party related text and make the image its own thing. Because, who doesn’t like cartoon foxes on skateboards?

You can see, I originally had No Filter Fox yelling “Surge!”, a reference to Coca-Cola’s Mountain Dew challenger of the 1990s. I decided I liked the illustration better without this gag.

I mean, I still could sell a version with NFF yelling Surge! That is the upside to Society6, I can have as many designs as I want.

Even though I drew the illustration on paper, I colored it using Manga Studio 5. This was only my second time coloring a picture in Manga Studio 5, but it went pretty smoothly.

I have ways to go before I’m comfortable drawing a complete picture in Manga Studio 5 with my old WACOM tablet, but practice makes perfect. Until then, Manga Studio 5 is great for coloring projects.
