Let’s get this out of the way: I enjoy David Lynch’s Dune film. I just know some die-hard fans of Frank Herbert’s Dune novels don’t care for the film. The ‘No Lynch Fans’ sign is just a joke (and one I added at the last minute), so don’t take it seriously.
The fortune No Filter Fox reads in the first panel is a fortune I got at lunch last week. Word for word. I knew I had to use it for a comic, as I found it hilarious. The wheels turned, and here we are.
[[No Filter Fox finishes his meal at a Chinese restaurant and reads his fortune cookie.]]
Fortune cookie text: You will be invited to a small gathering with lots of spicy conversation.
[[A close up of No Filter Fox as he winks and gives a thumbs up.]]
[[Cut to, a hallway with a door and a sign. The sign reads, Dune Fan Club “The Spice Must Flow.” The sign on the door reads, No Lynch Fans. No Filter Fox grumbles and tears the fortune in half.]]
Hovertext: No Filter Fox celebrates David Lynch’s entire catalog.
