[dc]I[/dc]t appears No Filter Fox has some issues with present day Facebook. He also has some issues with his walk cycle, but that’s another story. The panel layout for this strip came to me just as I fell asleep one night last week (start with a small size, double it for each panel, then shrink back down). The original layout had two rows of panels (small to big, big to small), but it made the first two panels too small.
Adapt! Improvise! Two important guides for comic making.

The folks in No Filter Fox’s Facebook feed are from earlier comics (who were all nameless in the original strips). Frank Laserfist appeared in Mullets (although his last name came from Advertising). Trav Fedora appeared in Words That Sound Like Other Words. Bea Schmoopy appeared in, yes, Schmoopy. Hooray for callbacks!

As a Facebook user since the early days (when you could only sign up with a college email address), it interesting to see how the social media site evolved over the years. To put it in Pokémon terms, it was like watching a Charmander evolve to a Charizard. If someone had told me back in 2004-2005 my grandmother would be using Facebook eventually, 2004-2005 me woulda said, “Who cares, Future Man? Myspace is where it’s at. Tell me something really important, like the next seven Stanley Cup winners.”

Because, hockey.
