[dc]I[/dc]t’s true, at least in my experience, that a sense of ownership changes one’s perspective on things. The tedious chores of my youth when living with my parents are now looked at with a different gaze after buying a house. Yes, cutting the grass is still very low on the Things I Love List, but knowing it is now my yard makes me care a bit more.

I am at the moment using a hand-me-down push “reel” mower as you see in the second panel. I don’t know how long I will stick with it, but it works, and it was free.

Still, I’m sure the first time I use it on an 80 degree day, I’ll rush off to the store and buy a gas mower. Or a bunch of goats.
