[dc]A[/dc]s I mentioned in my Free Comic Book Day post, I decided to whip up a new, second, minicomic for Saturday. I’ll be at Clem’s Comics & Games in downtown Lansing (216 S Washington Square), 8am to 11am, for their Free Comic Book Day Event.
I named this second minicomic, as the photo shows, Clattertron Favorites, Volume I. My first minicomic, The Proxy, will also be available, and both will only cost $1 each. If you pick up a copy of The Proxy, you can read next week’s comic a couple days early.
Clattertron Favorites, unlike The Proxy, collects eight of my favorite strips—not a new story. I figured collecting random Clattertron strips was a good idea.
The strips included in the minicomic are:
- What Not to Say to Your Fiancée
- Rules of Engagement
- Coffee
- Ask No Filter Fox
- Game of Thrones Babies in “Low Hanging Fruit”
- Roast of Thrones
- Cat Shaming
- Cat Shaming II
As you can see in the photo, I have some folding to do. I’m becoming a regular at the nearby copy/print shop.
I will also have copies of The Magic of Eyri for sale (only three copies left). If you buy a book for $20, you get both minicomics free. You actually save $7 if you get all three, as the retail price for the book is $25.
The other artists at the Free Comic Book Day event Adam Talley, Sherief AbouElSeoud, Kari Smith, Ryan Claytor, and Marc Wolfe will have plenty of stuff for sale too.
Free Comic Book Day is a lot of fun, and there is a big focus on kids—especially at the Clem’s Comics & Games event. It is a great way to get young—and old—readers into comics. Some publishers put out really nice, fancy stuff too. I’m excited to see what this year’s Free Comic Book Day haul will bring.
Hope to see you tomorrow!
