[dc]I[/dc] love good surprises. I got a really good surprise Sunday evening: an artist alley table for Grand Rapids Comic Con (October 16 – 18). I was on the waiting list for a table and my patience paid off. (It’s not unheard of for a guest to drop out right before a show. Life happens.)
Now the fun begins: I have less than two weeks to prepare for a huge show I didn’t plan on attending (the application process was a few months ago). But, this is a good problem to have, and I’ll do what I can. This might just mean focusing on commissions, which is fine (and if this crowd is anything like Cherry Capital Comic Con‘s, commissions will keep me very busy).
I jotted down a quick prep list the other morning, and this was just stuff off the top of my head.
My bio is already up on the Artist Alley page, and I will be at table E-9. It looks like I might be near Steve Jencks (table F-7) of Scream Prints (from Lansing too, and he designed the Clattertron logo for me). Also possibly nearby (table E-4) are Rory and Amanda Webb of Legends of Aukera (we went to Grand Valley State University together).
Anyway, come see me in Grand Rapids! Bring coffee!
