Behind the Scenes: Star Wars Reaction Comic
[dc]T[/dc]his week’s comic continued my new trend of sketching the comic on paper, snapping a photo, and using the photo in Manga Studio as my ‘pencil’ layer.
I’m enjoying the process so far, and unlike last week, very little changed from the original drawing to the final comic.
Here’s my original drawing.
I figured out my panels on paper here, a big change from how I usually make comics since I switched to the Surface Pro 3. Still, these panels are guidelines more than anything. Same goes for the actual sketches inside the panels. They are a basic concept of what I want, not the 100% finished version.
Compare to the finished comic.
A few minor changes here and there, which is bound to happen, but pretty close to my original sketch.
I’m still counting down the days until I get to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens myself. Christmas Day can’t get here fast enough. Warp speed! Wait.
