I’m a Finalist for the 2015 SPACE Prize in Webcomics
[dc]A[/dc] bit of good news: I found out I’m a finalist for the 2015 SPACE Prize in the Webcomic category.
SPACE is the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo held in Columbus, Ohio each year. I entered Clattertron while attending SPACE back in July (read my recap). Entries can only be submitted by exhibitors at the show. SPACE is a great show for anyone interested in checking out the small press comics scene. I actually bought a few books at SPACE in July, and I almost never buy anything at shows (when I have a table).
The prize for winning in the Webcomics SPACE Prize category is a $100 cash prize and a plaque. I like both of those things.
Judging for the SPACE Prize is, according to the website: Two rotating judges and the registered SPACE 2015 Exhibitors. So, if you had a table at SPACE 2015 in July, you can vote (I don’t know if voting is open yet though).
I like good news. This is a nice way to kick off 2016 (Clattertron was an entry for the 2014 SPACE Prize in Webcomics, but not a finalist).
A quick thank you to The Comics Reporter for mentioning all of the finalists too.
Speaking of tabling at shows, I’m slowly putting together my 2016 convention schedule. So far, you can see me next month at the MSU Comics Forum. It’s my third time attending the show. You can read the recaps of my first and second times.
More shows to come, stay tuned.
