Behind the Scenes: Entitled
[dc]H[/dc]ere is the original sketch I used to make yesterday’s comic, Entitled.
Working stuff out.
I’m still using my new method where I thumbnail/sketch the comic on paper, snap a photo, and use the photo as a reference in Manga Studio. I bought a pad of graph paper last week to make this process go even smoother: the graph paper will help me line drawing and lettering up better, and make paneling comics easier too.
I didn’t change too much from the above sketch to what ended up in the finished comic, although I did change the name of the movie on HB’s VHS tape.

Originally, I wrote Evil Dead 2 (a favorite film). I changed it to Short Circuit 2 in the finished comic, because I thought it was a funnier gag, and it mirrored No Filter Fox’s outburst. Sure!
You might recall HB’s love of the VHS format.
