[dc]N[/dc]ow that’s a scary costume if there ever was one, as least to current members of the US Congress after the latest government shutdown. I don’t know how No Filter Fox and Observant Raptor plan to visit over 400 houses on a single Halloween night, but maybe they borrowed Santa’s sleigh (it is Santa’s off-season, so anything is possible. Santa’s gotta make a buck too. Reindeer chow ain’t cheap).
Another Halloween comic next week! Do you have your Halloween costume picked out? Stephanie and I are still figuring out what to wear. We too can go as registered voters, which is still pretty scary.
[No Filter Fox and Observant Raptor are trick or treating on Halloween. They stand outside a house. A pair of hands extends out the door, holding a bucket of candy. Observant Raptor holds a candy bucket and No Filter Fox holds a ‘We Voted’ sign.]
Homeowner: What are YOU suppose to be?
[Close up shot of No Filter Fox and Observant Raptor, with crazed, scary looks on their faces]
No Filter Fox & Observant Raptor: Angry young registered voters with long memories and a one hundred percent election day turnout!
[Homeowner screams and slams their door, dropping the bucket of candy in the process]
Homeowner: EEK!
SFX: SLAM!
[No Filter Fox smirks]
[Medium shot of Observant Raptor and No Filter Fox. Observant Raptor holds up her filled candy bucket.]
Observant Raptor: This is our best Halloween ever!
[No Filter Fox looks up from a map, which reads: Guide to US House Districts by J. Mander]
No Filter Fox: And over 400 House seats still to go!
{hover text: remember, remember to vote in November. Vote early and often. Happy Halloween.}
