East Lansing Art Festival This Weekend
The big weekend is finally here! You can see me at the East Lansing Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday (May 19-20). I wrote a blog post about the hows and whys I got in (ELAF is a juried fine arts show, not a comic con).
This is a free event, and it is outside. You can find me in the Emerging Artists tent, where I am selling a bunch of original watercolor cartoons and art. The fun starts at 10 AM each day, and goes to 6 PM on Saturday and 5 PM on Sunday.
Getting into the East Lansing Art Festival is a huge deal, and I’m equally excited and nervous. Thousands attend the art festival each year. Plus, unlike a huge comic con, there isn’t a million other things to compete with. You can easily see everything at the East Lansing Art Festival, because you could spend all day at a large comic con and still not see everything.
Please come on out and see me! My wife Steph Joy Hogan will be there as well, selling her own art in the Emerging Artist tent.
Next weekend, it is back to the comic con circuit, as I make my (most) triumphant return to Cherry Capital Comic Con. I get a bit of a breather after C4, with the bulk my shows in the rear view mirror by that point. This doesn’t mean I’m done, however. I already have an appearance planned for June 10. It is the Bark for the Arts Fundraiser at the Capital Area Humane Society. Twenty-five percent of my sales that day go to supporting the CAHS, which is where Steph and I adopted our cats, Nigel and Rags. More details soon.
