[dc]G[/dc]uess who is back? It is Guilt Trip Ghost! We last saw him in November, when he headed West.

Did you know adults can go to Space Camp? I made the mistake of sending the link to Stephanie, and now that’s all she wants to do–the real camp, not the 1986 film, Space Camp.

Speaking of fathers smiling, I made it to another birthday. Woo hoo. If you want to send me a birthday prezzie via my Amazon Wish List, by all means go for it.

Here’s a behind the scenes photo (and post) about lettering this comic. If you wondered how I did the stars in the first panel, I just ‘painted’ white starbursts in Photoshop with the Auto Shape tool. I stretched, squashed, and rotated each starburst so they wouldn’t all look the same. I also found reference photos for the space shuttle and the astronaut, specifically this photo of astronaut Kathryn C. Thorton (my astronaut character isn’t suppose to be Thorton, I just used her photo as a model, mainly for the hair and spacesuit).

Ever tried Astronaut Ice Cream? I bought some for Stephanie (a fan of all things space) for Valentine’s Day a while back, and it was interesting. Tasty, but also interesting.

The Astronaut Ice cream gift was the year where we had a maximum $5 budget for gifts–I bought it at the Impression 5 Science Center right here in downtown Lansing. I think it was $4.99. (Additional trivia: I also proposed to Stephanie right outside I5 on their Planet Walk).

Stephanie beat me when it came to the cheap Valentine’s Day gift though: she made a key chain out of a penny from the year we met. My cheapskate heart melted.
