[dc]T[/dc]his weekend saw the return of Capital City Comic Con in Lansing. OK, technically East Lansing, but whatever. Many fans came out to the show, and the entire day had a good energy about it.
I really enjoyed myself, and it looked like the attendees did too.
I felt a bit rusty, as this was my first show since early June, but I’m still happy with how I did. I got to talk about my new comic (Foxes and Boxes) starting here soon (hopefully next Monday), and catch up with several of my comic pals.
As a local show, Capital City Comic Con gave me a home court advantage: friends came to the show and stopped by my table to say hi, and in a few cases it was their first time seeing my table set-up and non-comic art (like my watercolor cartoons).
As I said the other day, I got a mention—and some art—in a Lansing State Journal article about Capital City Comic Con on Saturday. It’s neat seeing my comic (a tease of Foxes and Boxes) printed in the newspaper.
