[dc]T[/dc]his Friday kicks off a big weekend for me: my first time attending Motor City Comic Con as a cartoonist¹. This is my biggest show to date, and I’m both excited and nervous.
Excited, because it’s a big show.
Nervous, because it’s a big show and I don’t know what to expect.
I kept telling myself last year I wanted to try Motor City Comic Con in 2016, and at least try it once. I’m a big believer in trying any show at least once. Why? Because every show is different and with it comes a different crowd. You could sell one or two books at a show, but then try a different show and do much, much better.
When Is Motor City Comic Con?
Motor City Comic Con is Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15. That’s right, three days. Three day shows like this are a strange animal, because it spreads out the crowd. I like it, however, because I can tweak my set-up all day Friday before the big day: Saturday. Heck, Sunday could be huge too if my trends of the past year continue.
Where Is Motor City Comic Con?

Where To Find Me at Motor City Comic Con (Table E-10)
My table is E-10, in the back left corner from the entrance, right across from the comic art exhibit called Dan’s Dream (no relation). Here’s a big version of the floor map (and not the whole map, either).
